Union between Cumbidu ETS and Sardinia Ecotourism Network

Hello to all and sundry,

we are pleased to share with you important news for the future of sustainable and identity-based tourism in Sardinia.

The Sardinia Ecotourism Network has chosen to continue its journey within Cumbidu ETS, strengthening our common mission: to promote travel experiences that are authentic, sustainable and deeply rooted in territorial identities.

This is a choice that honors us and confirms the harmony between two realities that, although born with different paths, have always shared a common vision: that of a tourism capable of generating value for local communities, respecting the environment and offering travelers meaningful experiences, charged with meaning.

The Sardinia Ecotourism Network, established in 2019 as an aggregation of sustainability-conscious businesses, has been able in just a few years to build a recognized and respected network, active in raising awareness among tour operators, collaborating with public bodies and engaging in dialogue with the academic world. Its contribution will further strengthen the work we are carrying out with Italea Sardegna, the national project dedicated to root tourism, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Cumbidu is the implementing agency for Sardinia for this ambitious program, which aims to reconnect millions of Italian-descendants around the world-including many Sardinians-with their families’ homelands, enhancing the cultural, landscape and experiential heritage of our island.

The union with the Sardinia Ecotourism Network therefore represents not only an organizational evolution, but a strategic strengthening: together we will be able to integrate knowledge, contacts and visions, building an even stronger ecosystem for regenerative and community-based tourism.

We are confident that innovative projects and replicable best practices will emerge from this synergy, in Sardinia and beyond.
